• The metro stations on Sheikh Zayed Road, at a meeting point agreed with the partner.

JLT mixes offices and homes. Many residents are young professionals and families who work nearby, and a great many companies are registered in the DMCC free zone, so the district is busy with employees and business visitors all week. People rent a car here while they wait for their own, for a new job before buying, or for a business trip of a few days that takes them across the city.

For a commute along Sheikh Zayed Road or a client meeting in DIFC, a sedan is the practical choice: comfortable, easy to park in a tower car park and economical over a long rental. That is why the grid above starts with sedans.

How much does it cost to rent a car in JLT?

Driving and parking in JLT

JLT sits on the inland side of Sheikh Zayed Road, facing Dubai Marina, with Emirates Hills just behind it. The loop roads around the clusters can be confusing on the first day, so share your exact tower with the partner. Driving to Downtown or the airport, you pass Salik toll gates: tolls are counted during the rental and paid at the end of it.

Public parking around the clusters is paid, payable by app or SMS, and most towers have basement parking for residents and a few visitor spaces. Ask your building about a guest space before the car arrives.

Each rental includes around 250 km per day, more than enough for a daily commute to Downtown Dubai.

From JLT to the rest of Dubai

JBR, Ibn Battuta Mall and Dubai Media City are a short drive away. Dubai International Airport is on the other side of the city, so leave extra time at rush hour, or have the car delivered at Dubai Airport when you land.

Documents you need

UAE residents: a UAE driving licence and an Emirates ID. Tourists: a passport, a visit visa and your home driving licence. Licences from the UK, the United States, Canada, most European countries and many others are accepted as they are; for other countries, add an International Driving Permit. The minimum age depends on the partner and is shown on each car page.
