Driving and parking on Bluewaters Island

A road bridge links the island directly to Sheikh Zayed Road, next to Dubai Marina, and a footbridge leads to the beach at JBR. Driving towards Downtown or the airport on Sheikh Zayed Road, you pass Salik toll gates: tolls are counted during the rental and paid at the end of it.

The island has its own car parks for visitors, and the hotels and residences have parking for their guests. Ask your hotel or building how to park before the car arrives.

Each rental includes around 250 km per day, more than enough for a trip to Downtown Dubai and back.

From Bluewaters to the rest of Dubai

Once over the bridge, Palm Jumeirah, JLT and Dubai Media City are close by. Dubai International Airport is on the other side of the city: you can also have the car delivered at Dubai Airport on arrival and drive it straight to the island.

UAE residents: a UAE driving licence and an Emirates ID. Tourists: a passport, a visit visa and your home driving licence. Licences from the UK, the United States, Canada, most European countries and many others are accepted as they are; for other countries, add an International Driving Permit.
